Data File

Your data is stored in a local JSON file on your computer. To keep it backed up and synced across devices, save it in a cloud-synced folder:

Install a cloud storage desktop app (Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox) on your computer
The app creates a synced folder on your computer (e.g. G: drive for Google Drive)
Move or save your JSHQ data file into that synced folder
Open the file from that folder in JobSearchHQ
Your data now auto-syncs to the cloud every time the app saves

Import your spreadsheet

Upload a CSV file or paste your spreadsheet data. Our AI will format and map it for you.

Data cleanup

Remove old or unwanted data from your job search. Select categories and a date range. A full summary is shown before anything is deleted.

JobSearchHQ runs entirely on your computer. Your job search data never leaves your device. Here is what the app does connect to:

AI features: Requests are sent to the AI provider you connect, using your own API key. Only the specific content being analyzed, like a job description or resume, is included.

Company logos: Logo images are fetched from the web when you add a job.

App updates: A small check for AI model compatibility and app version updates.

Anonymous usage analytics: We collect anonymous data like which features are used, theme preferences, and app version to help improve the product. No personal information, job details, or search data is ever included.
